UTV Crash Near Ovalo: Multiple Air Evacuations Reported
TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – Individuals caught up in a UTV crash close to Ovalo were taken via ambulance and medical helicopter due to their injuries on Sunday afternoon.
On May 4, the Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department, Lawn Volunteer Fire Department, Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Department, Taylor County EMS, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas Game Wardens offered assistance for a UTV accident located east of Ovalo.
The Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department indicated that The site where the incident occurred was far from accessible areas, making it challenging for emergency services to reach the individuals affected. These victims were then moved using utility vehicles and trucks to a waiting ambulance along with a Native Air 39 medevac helicopter. Their current health statuses remain undisclosed as of now.
"We want to express our gratitude to all participating agencies and hope for a quick recovery for those who were injured," stated Jim Ned VFD on social media.
