Three Injured as Crash Closes Route 72 East in Plainville, Officials Report

PLAINVILLE — On Saturday, three individuals were admitted to the hospital after a collision occurred, which also led to the closure of a section of Route 72, according to authorities.

Around 7 p.m., troopers arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle accident on the eastbound side of the highway nearExit 4A, as reported by the Connecticut State Police.

The police mentioned that several severe injuries resulted from the crash, and they noted that the Life Star air ambulance service was dispatched to the location.
