Third Arrest Made in 2024 Twin Lakes Park Fatal Shooting
Sarasota, Fla. (WFLa) -- On Friday, law enforcement apprehended a third person suspected of involvement in the case. This individual has now been charged accordingly. the incident that took place at Twin Lakes Park last November.
On November 3, 2024, Sarasota County deputies were called to the area of 6700 Clark Road within the park. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of an adolescent male aged 17 years along with another individual who was still breathing but had sustained injuries.
A subsequent probe found that an unauthorized late-night gathering led to gunshots being discharged, resulting in both parties receiving firearm-inflicted wounds, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
On Friday, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office took into custody 18-year-old Jonathan Vivar.
He is detained at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.
