The Buzz celebrated their 21st annual Doublebee's Buzz-B-Q on May 10 at the Downtown Riverside RV Park located in North Little Rock.

More than 50 cooking squads vied against each other in both the "Pro Joe" and "Average Joe" divisions for an opportunity to claim part of a prize pool exceeding $10,000 in cash and rewards.

The criteria for judging the teams included pork, ribs, chicken, sauce, brisket, and a side dish. The winners in these categories would determine the ultimate champions of both the "Average Joe" and "Pro Joe" divisions.

Proceeds from the Buzz-B-Q event will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and North Louisiana, which offer accommodation for families whose children are undergoing treatment at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

"We're incredibly excited to mark 21 years of BuzzBQ! We anticipate yet another impressive crowd and outstanding contest. This event offers fantastic entertainment for the entire family in a wonderful location along the shores of the Arkansas River," stated Justin Acri, who serves as the General Manager at 103.7 The Buzz.

In 2025, the Doublebee’s Buzz-B-Q is set to showcase top-notch barbecue alongside exceptional live performances by Roland Pennington, David Mead from Taylor Made Rocks, Jeff Coleman, and Bree Ogden. Attendees will have the opportunity to select the People’s Choice award winner through their votes. Emcee duties at this event will be handled by members of 103.7 The Buzz.

Customers also cast their votes for the People's Choice award for their preferred sample.
