Stepping Into Reality: A Look Inside the 74th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy

OKLAHOMA (KXII) - Members of the 74th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy were surprised early this morning by their fellow officers.

During a midnight physical training session, with flashing lights and blaring sirens, the cadets met their Training, Advising, and Counseling (TAC) officers for the first time.

Everything is geared towards readiness due to the disorder and strain that OHP Troopers face when operating on highways solo.

Future graduates will be equipped with the skills needed to ensure their safety while also being ready to handle the challenges and unforeseen circumstances that come with law enforcement duties.
