Poll Reveals Public Opposition to GOP's Proposed Medicaid Cuts
( The Hill ) — Large majorities of Americans, including Republicans, oppose federal funding cuts to Medicaid, according to a new poll from health policy research group KFF.
The results are yet another warning sign for congressional Republicans eyeing steep cuts to the program to fund President Trump’s domestic agenda including extending his 2017 tax reductions, additional budget cuts, and raising the debt limit.
The Republicans in both the House and Senate are employing a procedure called budget reconciliation in an attempt to pass former President Trump's key legislation with support solely from their own party members.
