The Pakistani army spokesperson stated that India has launched missiles at three military airbases within their territory; however, the majority of these projectiles have been shot down.

In a televised statement, Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif mentioned that all Pakistani air force resources are secure.

He mentioned that several of the Indian missiles struck India’s eastern region of Punjab.

According to statements from an army spokesperson, the Indian-launched missiles struck three locations within Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province: the Nur Khan airbase situated in Rawalpindi—a major military hub—Murid airbase located near Chakwal town, as well as the Rafiqui airbase found in Jhang district.

Mr Sharif said Pakistan had evidence some of the missiles fired by India have also gone into Afghanistan, and to prove it.

He said that “continuing its naked aggression, India, some time back, has fired air-to-surface missiles with its jets”.

“These blatant acts of aggression by India reflect the paranoia within the Indian mindset which continues to grow after the failure of each of its acts and the paranoia continues also to grow as it realizes that they cannot break the resolve and will of the people of Pakistan,” he said.

Following exchanges of intense shelling and gunfire between Indian and Pakistani troops along their border in the contested Kashmir area of the Himalayas, new developments emerged. At least five civilians lost their lives as tensions escalated into a significant military confrontation, which began after an assault targeted visitors in the part of the disputed territory controlled by India.

The strained relations between these nuclear-capable neighbors have escalated significantly following an assault at a tourist location in India-administered Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, largely Hindu Indian visitors, on April 22nd.

Delhi has accused Pakistan of supporting the assault, a claim that Islamabad denies.

On Wednesday, India carried out airstrikes targeting multiple locations within Pakistani territory, which they claimed were associated with militants; this resulted in 31 civilian casualties, according to Pakistani authorities. Pakistan reported that their forces brought down five Indian combat aircraft.

On Thursday, India reported foiling drone and missile assaults targeting multiple military sites across over a dozen cities and towns in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, among which was Jammu city. However, Pakistan refuted claims of conducting any drone strikes.

India stated that it had struck Pakistan’s air defense systems and radars near the city of Lahore. However, these claims could not be verified independently.

On Friday, the Indian army reported that Pakistani forces launched approximately 300 to 400 unmanned aerial vehicles during the night into what they consider violations of Indian air space, aiming at military facilities across roughly three dozen locations near the western border regions.

India neutralized several drones through both kinetic and non-kinetic methods, according to Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Indian Air Force at a press briefing.

Mr. Sharif dismissed India's assertions about launching between 300 to 400 drones, daring them to "show us at least some wreckage from even one drone to substantiate their claim."

He stated that starting from Wednesday night, India had sent 77 Israeli-manufactured attack drones into Pakistan, but all of these were thwarted and their remnants gathered by Pakistani forces.

"Regardless of what they send, we will turn it all into rubble," he stated.
