New Video Emerges in Disappearance of Missing Bikepacker

The Fresno County Sheriff's Department has issued a new video featuring cyclist Tiffany Slaton aboard the same bicycle setup she had with her during her disappearance.

Slaton, who is 27 years old and from Jeffersonville, Georgia, was last spotted in the Huntington Lake region of California. Her relatives think she might have headed towards Mono Hot Springs as her final stop.

The footage was captured on April 8 in the Santa Cruz region as Slaton traveled towards Fresno County. It was handed over following an appeal by the FCSO for individuals with relevant videos of Slaton to come forward. The individual accompanying Slaton in this recording is not considered a suspect in the investigation.

Slaton's relatives communicated with her most recently on April 20, and someone from the community reported spotting her at Cressman's General Store in Shaver Lake on April 24.

The FCSO stated in their update that they reduced the scale of their search on May 10 because they found no evidence of either Slaton or her equipment.

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reduced their ongoing search efforts for the missing camper, Tiffany Slaton, as stated in an FCSO announcement. Following five consecutive days and nights of searching the mountainous region with their Search and Rescue (SAR) unit looking for both Ms. Slaton and her possessions, they covered almost 600 square miles—from Mono Hot Springs to Wishon Reservoir, including Pine Flat Lake and Auberry along with every surrounding zone. Despite these extensive searches, nothing connected to Slaton was discovered by the SAR team.

Detectives are currently requesting that the public inform them about any footage they might have captured within the search zone on or around April 24. This encompasses videos from security systems as well as dashboard cams. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office mentioned there is a chance that Slaton traveled via Auberry Road and near Pine Ridge School to reach Highway 168.

Tiffany Slaton was cruising on her Lectric XP 3.0 eBike, which boasts a maximum distance of 45 miles and can reach speeds up to 28 mph. Attached to her bike was a brightly colored red and yellow trailer for a child, along with a compact green and gray two-person tent.
