NBA Star CJ McCollum Responds to Derek Carr's Latest Move
Derek Carr is entering his second season with the New Orleans Saints.
The 34-year-old passed for 2,145 yards with 15 touchdown throws (in ten games).
On Saturday, Carr revealed his decision to retire from the NFL.
Carr wrote (via Instagram): "Your appreciation falls short." To my amazing family and friends, thank you for your endless love and encouragement. For the opportunities granted by the Raiders and Saints organizations, as well as Mr. Davis and Mrs. Benson, I am deeply thankful for allowing me to fulfill a lifelong aspiration. Every mentor who guided me, each teammate who stood beside me in battles, and all opponents who challenged me have contributed significantly; thus, I hold dear our shared struggles, moments of glory, and camaraderie. Lastly, to my devoted supporters, thank you for standing by me during triumphs, setbacks, health challenges, returns from injury, record-breaking feats, and All-Star appearances.
Through it all, I gave this game everything I had every single day. I sleep well knowing that I gave my teammates, my coaches, and my cities my all. Now, I look forward to whatever God has next and I’ll pursue it with the same fire I brought to the field. God bless, and see you soon."
