Man Fleeing Scene Dies After Crashing Into Tree in Vista
The Vista Sheriff's Station deputies looked into a car accident on Saturday night that resulted in one man's death within the city limits of Vista.
As stated in a statement released by the San Diego Sheriff's Department, officials were alerted to an incident involving a single car crash approximately at 6:01 pm close to the junction of North Santa Fe and North Paseo Marguerita.
The initial details provided showed that a 30-year-old motorist was unable to successfully make a right turn in his car and ended up crashing into a tree close to an intersection. According to the statement, after exiting his vehicle, he departed from the area.
At approximately 7:16 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive individual on the 200 block of Apollo Drive in Vista. It was verified that the man was operating the sedan involved. Authorities stated that the motorist did not survive due to his wounds.
Based on the statement, the reason for the accident remains unclear, and it has not been determined whether drunk driving played a role in the incident.
