Law Enforcement Tightens Presence on East Hanrahan Road

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - There was a heavy law enforcement presence this afternoon in one part of Pitt County.

Crime scene tape surrounded a mobile home on East Hanrahan Road, north of Grifton.

Multiple deputies were at the scene, along with at least one crime scene investigator.

At one point, deputies were concentrating efforts in front of a pickup truck up on jackstands. One investigator was seen walking away carrying a metal detector and crime scene markers.

WITN has contacted the sheriff’s office seeking additional details about the incident.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m., sheriff’s deputies vacated the area.
