JPS and JSU Honor First Cohort of Jackson Middle College Students
The Jackson Public School district honored the academic achievements and milestones of scholars from the Jackson Middle College program's first graduating class.
The event took place on Monday at 6 p.m. at the CSET Engineering Building located at Jackson State University.
Subscribe to our NewslettersThe Jackson Middle College initiative offers high school students the chance to accumulate college credits at JSU as they pursue an educational pathway aimed at preparing them to be future math educators, all while finishing their high school requirements.
“We recognized that there was a necessity, not only at JPS but across the nation and even globally, to identify exceptional teachers and foster their growth as outstanding educators,” stated JPS Superintendent Dr. Errick Greene.
Green expressed his enthusiasm for seeing students further their studies at JSU.
