MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) — During Monday evening's performance, Jamal Roberts, who hails from Meridian, graced the American Idol stage with two renditions: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" from 'Remember the Titans' and "Beauty and Beast" from the film of the same name.

Roberts' performance left both the audience and the judges astounded during the live Monday "Disney Night:Heroes and Villains" special of the program.

Not only did Jamal excel, but during the episode, they revealed the top 3, and Jamal’s name was among those listed.
