A proposed legislation aimed at regulating cryptocurrency kiosks in Iowa has advanced to Governor Kim Reynolds for approval.

Legislators in the House approved the bill. Senate File 449 , which receives backing from AARP Iowa The group claims this measure will enhance safeguards against cryptocurrency scams and stop Iowans from falling victim to financial exploitation.

This change would limit daily transactions to $1,000 and enable refunds for reported fraudulent activities within a 90-day period.
