Deadly Interstate Crash in Thetford Claims One Woman's Life
A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 91 in Thetford resulted in one fatality on Saturday.
The Vermont State Police were alerted to the accident at 1:54 p.m. on Saturday, where a 2004 Pontiac GTO hit the barrier and overturned.
As reported by authorities, Alyssa Tetreault, who was 27 years old from Massachusetts, passed away due to the accident. The individual driving, recognized as Joseph Hamilton aged 40 from New Hampshire, suffered severe injuries and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
According to state police, both individuals were not wearing their seat belts.
According to authorities, two juveniles received slight injuries in the accident and were taken to the hospital for care.
Hamilton is charged with gross negligence causing death, and he is scheduled to make an appearance in court sometime in June.
