Crews are tackling a 7-alarm blaze in West Baltimore that erupted shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday, as stated by a representative from the Baltimore City fire department.

The Red Cross is assisting 30 people from 15 households that were displaced from the fire, the organization said in a news release Monday night.
Wallace said at 9:40 p.m. that it is still a very active situation. Wallace said there are multiple levels to the warehouse below ground, making it difficult to access.
"This has become a bigger city operation now," Wallace said.

Wallace mentioned that one side of the warehouse is adjacent to Amtrak tracks. They collaborated with Amtrak to shut off the power to the overhead wires.
The train service linking Wilmington and Washington, D.C., has been halted due to the fire, as stated in an X post by Amtrak Northeast.
There have been some problems with water pressure in this region," Wallace stated. "Since this is primarily a residential neighborhood, many of the water pipes measure only six inches in diameter. Currently, our firefighting needs require more water than the infrastructure can provide. As such, additional equipment has been deployed.
Several organizations are on site fighting the blaze, said John Marsh, a representative for the Baltimore City fire department.
Joe Davis, the deputy administrator and chief operating officer of the MTA, tweeted on X that passengers using buses should allocate additional time when traveling.
Davis mentioned on Twitter that route diversions are being implemented.
Wallace stated that there are no reported injuries across several city departments combating the blaze.
This narrative will be updated.
