Arrest Made After Dothan Man Found Dead in Birmingham Home

The police have arrested someone in connection with the killing of a man from Dothan, who was discovered dead from gunshot wounds inside a house in Birmingham.

On Thursday, the Birmingham Police Department reported that Sherman Rountree, aged 32 and residing in Birmingham, was charged with the killing of 28-year-old Richard Alexander Wilson Jr.

On April 27th, Wilson was discovered deceased at his residence within the College Hills area. Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers encountered him unconscious inside the dwelling, having suffered what appeared to be a gunshot injury.

Rountree was apprehended in East Birmingham yesterday. He is currently detained at the Jefferson County Jail with no bail allowed.
