Altercation causes panic at Haywood Mall

GREenville, S.C. (WSPA) — Authorities from the GREnville Police Department were called to investigate an assault that occurred within the HAYWOOD MALL.

Around 8 p.m., according to police statements, an off-duty officer was informed about an assault occurring at the Haywood Mall’s food court. The authorities mentioned that individuals were observed running away from the scene while shouting that shots had been fired.

Officials stated that no bullets were discharged during the incident. It was established that the banging sounds resulted from chairs being tossed and making contact with the floor.

At present, no arrests have been reported.
