Today’s report Alexa Bliss' anticipated comeback to WWE materialized on this week's (May 9) edition of SmackDown.

For Alexa's comeback, Chelsea Green grieved the loss of her United States championship backstage by conducting what she called a "eulogy" in GM Nick Aldis' office, assisted by the Secret Service. When Aldis and United States champion Zelina Vega interrupted, they proposed a tag-team match. Confident in their victory,Chelsea, along with Piper Niven as her teammate, believed they had an advantage since Zelina doesn’t have friends to back her up.

It turned out to be quite a poor decision during the match, as Alexa Bliss returned in her hometown to join forces with Vega.

Alexa proceeded to secure the pinfall victory over Green after hitting her with the Abigail DDT.

It had been more than two months since Bliss last wrestled in a WWE ring, making this quite an exciting moment.
