Steelers Owner Shares Exciting News on Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have remained confident that Aaron Rodgers is likely to eventually join them in free agency, and a choice could be imminent despite appearances.
During an appearance on Steeler Nation Radio , team owner Art Rooney II appeared to suggest that Rodgers has indicated he might be willing to join the team soon. The organization expressed interest in having him participate in part of the upcoming offseason training program.
Rooney stated, “We’re still receiving similar indications as those from recent times suggesting his desire to join us.” He added, “Given the upcoming intensification due to the start of our off-season training programs, I believe we might hear something definitive soon. Should he decide to sign, we’d aim to have him integrated into these activities at an early stage.”
While Pittsburgh Undeniably, they would have preferred to get an official statement from Rodgers prior to the start of the NFL Draft. Maybe their decision not to pick a quarterback yet suggests that they are fairly certain the four-time MVP is set on joining the team.
A solution didn’t seem close at hand when Rodgers talked about putting his private life first and basically told the Steelers they could proceed without him if necessary during his recent segment on "The Pat McAfee Show."
Nevertheless, Pittsburgh has consistently emerged as his most probable destination. This was further reinforced once it became evident that neither the New York Giants nor the Minnesota Vikings would sign him. Surprisingly, despite the prolonged negotiation period, there hasn’t been any signs of urgency or distress.
Rooney informed journalists during the yearly league gatherings that the Steelers aren’t going to indefinitely await Rodgers’ decision. Despite this, Rooney expressed confidence that the organization will achieve its goals, and it appears his desire might soon become reality.
