Oba Femi Set to Clash with Battle Royale Victor for WWE NXT Championship

Trick Williams along with twenty-four others will participate in a battle royal at next week's "WWE NXT" event to decide Oba Femi's subsequent opponent.

During last weekend's TNA Rebellion event, Williams made an appearance to assault World Champion Joe Hendry. who had interfered with Williams’ most recent effort to secure a chance at the NXT Championship last week? Earlier, Hendry seemed to challenge Williams, but Dark State showed up instead. However, Williams made an appearance afterward to respond to Hendry’s remarks, stating he had called out Hendry throughout the evening without success. He then referred to the TNA World Champion dismissively as “regional talent” before resuming his quest for the championship.

The NXT General Manager, Ava, stood at the entrance ramp questioning Williams about his belief that he deserves a title match after causing disruptions during last week’s event and subsequently stirring up trouble with another wrestling organization. In response, Williams asserted that this experience made him realize he surpasses NXT entirely. To which Ava responded, clarifying that despite his claims, Williams is merely one of twenty-five contenders vying for a shot against Femi. She also announced that they would hold a battle royale to decide who gets the top spot as a challenger.

In a subsequent backstage scene, Femi was joined by The Undertaker as he introduced Anthony Luke, Shiloh Hill, and Jasper from “WWE LFG,” all of whom expressed their interest in challenging him for his championship. Later, No Quarter Catch Crew’s members Myles Borne and Tavion Heights voiced their desire to join the fray but remained uncertain about Charlie Dempsey's stance on this matter. It has now been confirmed that Charlie Dempsey will compete along with Timothy Thatcher, Chris Island, Ridge Holland, Sean Legacy, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Ethan Page, Josh Briggs, Niko Vance, Brooks Jensen, Shawn Spears, Je’Von Evans, Eddy Thorpe, Lexis King, Wes Lee, Tyrike Igwe, and Tyson Dupont.
