After stepping away from the White House briefing room three years ago, Jen Psaki is poised for primetime.
The first Biden-era press secretary is set to host an upcoming prime-time series on MSNBC premiering May 6 with a fittingly named acknowledgment of her time as the White House spokeswoman. Her latest flagship show, "The Briefing," which airs from Tuesday to Friday at 9:00 AM Eastern Time/Pacific Time, takes over the spot of the channel’s most-watched program. "Rachel Maddow Show After Maddow wraps up her segment, 100-day weeknight run following President Donald Trump's re-inauguration . Alex Wagner was first offered the position in January, prior to a leadership shift at MSNBC; meanwhile, "Maddow" will keep airing on Mondays.

"Holding a program at 9 p.m. represents a huge chance and duty to address an audience comprising millions of viewers, doesn’t it? I approach this with the degree of seriousness and accountability that it deserves, and that commitment will remain central," states Psaki.
