I Adored Daredevil: Born Again’s Climax—but It Exposed What the Rest of Season 1 Lacked
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is firing on all cylinders, with exciting content hitting theaters and streaming with a Disney+ subscription . The latter was the case for the Marvel TV show, Daredevil: Born Again , which recently ended its first season. The finale was pretty incredible, but showed what was missing from the rest of Season 1. Let's break it all down.
The Season 1 finale of Daredevil: Born Again was a killer episode... literally. Matt Murdock suited back up and fought alongside The Punisher as Kingpin tried to take control of the city. I loved seeing the enduring hero of Hell's Kitchen kick ass, but it pointed out just how little of the actual Daredevil we got throughout the season. Instead, most of the action was about non-masked characters, and Charlie Cox spent the majority of his scenes as lawyer Matt Murdock.
Supporters who devoted years to watching the Marvel movies in order will remember how cherished the original was Daredevil Seasons aired during its tenure on Netflix. Afterwards, Cox cameod in Spider-Man: No Way Home and S he-Hulk: Attorney At Law , the fanbase was eager for Daredevil to reclaim the limelight. And, even so, Born Again It was an entertaining viewing experience, but the actual superhero did not appear onscreen for very long.

Certainly, there’s a clear explanation for why this could be. Essentially, it might be because of Daredevil: Born Again Underwent significant alterations throughout production, transforming it into the series viewers watched on Disney+. It’s conceivable that Matt Murdock had scenes with his suit that ended up being cut, or that the reduced amount of superhero content was unintentional due to these modifications.
Regardless, the concluding episode of Season 1 demonstrated just how impressive Daredevil can be when he’s at his peak. Here's hoping that the next season ups the ante even further. Since, although I enjoy witnessing Matt confront peril head-on, what really excites me is getting more screen time for the masked hero himself.
I would like to point out that despite everything, I still generally enjoyed it. Born Again I’m really excited about an additional season. Being a devoted follower of the initial show, I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the same gritty vibe incorporated into the MCU. The criminal narrative aspect of the series is quite appealing (especially with Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Fisk), though I felt it could have included a bit more superhero action.
Ever since Cox made an unexpected appearance in No Way Home , enthusiasts have been eager to witness more of his involvement upcoming Marvel movies and television series. He geared up once more She-Hulk , debuting an awesome yellow suit. But Born Again was a return to form... even if he didn't spend that much time as a vigilante.
Daredevil: Born Again is available for streaming entirely on Disney+. The upcoming release from the shared universe will be Thunderbolts* On May 2nd, it will be part of the movie release schedule for 2025. We’ll have to wait and see when Cox’s superhero makes a comeback.
