Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has defended its independence and is closer to peace than at any time in nearly three years of full-scale war.

We're working hard, living through this, and striving to bring peace closer together. We're closer to it than at any point during the three years of conflict.

We've fought hard to protect our state, its sovereignty, our nation, its capital, and numerous other cities and towns. Unfortunately, many lives have been lost. I am extremely proud of our courageous citizens. Who could have envisioned all of this? No one. Who could have foreseen the consequences of all these events? No one.

We must do everything possible to stabilize life in Ukraine and provide peace for all the Ukrainians. I believe this is of the utmost importance.
