Mitsubishi is giving its Triton range a bit of a spruce-up.

Mitsubishi Australia's head of product, Bruce Hampel, stated the new special edition was derived from feedback from dealers and customers.

"We've spotted a chance to give customers more options for the Triton GSR, with a tougher-looking design. The GSR Special Edition puts the GSR's impressive features alongside an exterior package that looks like no other, making it even more appealing to buyers," said Hampel.

It's got a graphite grey outer mesh with Mitsubishi logo engraved on it.

Mitsubishi's fitted the GSR with a black sports bar, and ditched the regular fender flares, freeing up the GSR for more add-ons.

This special edition also features the brand's upgraded safety technology, which allows adaptive cruise control to be activated all the way down to a complete stop, rather than shutting off at speeds of 25km/h or lower.

The Mitsubishi Triton GSR and all Mitsubishis come with a manufacturer's core 10 year/200,000km warranty. To keep this lengthy warranty in play, owners are required to get their vehicle serviced at an approved dealership each time. If not, the warranty drops back to five years/100,000km.

The Mitsubishi Triton is one of the most sought-after utes on the market in Australia, with nearly 15,000 units being sold in 2024.

A new model rolled out in 2024 brought it up to scratch with its towing capacity, increasing to 3500kg, while the previous model maxed out at 3000kg.
