BMW has expanded its most budget-friendly model lineups in Australia.

The 120 starts at $60,600 (before on-road costs), which is $3000 more than the starting price of the base 118. The 220 also has a similar price jump to $62,900.
This is a big step up from the 115kW/230Nm outputs from the base versions' 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor.

The seats at the front have wraparound covers, which can be adjusted using power in the front row. The driver and front seat passenger have sports seats as standard, plus a seat heating feature.
