‘Man Utd risk being RELEGATED from Premier League’
Former Manchester United player Paul Scholes thinks that things are in such a poor state at Manchester United that they may even be at risk of getting relegated from the Premier League next season.
Manchester United have taken a significant downturn in fortunes over the past ten years, following the departure of the highly revered manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
But things have really fallen apart in the last couple of seasons, and United are currently on course for one of the worst seasons in their entire history.

The Red Devils are languishing in 13th place in the Premier League with no prospect of qualifying for the Champions League and with little prospect of making Europe through the league.
Renowned former midfielder Scholes is concerned that unless Manchester United have a significant transfer window, things may deteriorate further next season, potentially even leading to the unthinkable.
What did Scholes say?
"There are a few things that are causing some concern. We're all well aware of the work Ruben Amorim needs to do, particularly during transfer windows, but I don't think we have a solid core of players," he said during The Overlap Fan Debate, sponsored by Sky Bet.

When you examine a team, you look straight down the backbone of a team. Liverpool: excellent goalkeeper, excellent centre-half, forwards, midfielders, whatever. I don't think United have any of that in any position. I think a new goalkeeper is required, possibly two centre halves, two centre midfield players, and two centre forwards.
Right, I'll go for one central midfielder and one centre-forward, but with a bit of presence, a bit of class, and really create a foundation. When you've got that foundation right, then you can build upon it. That foundation, that core, is absolutely crucial.
If they don't get it sorted by the summer, this might sound absurd, but with the current form under this manager, they could be facing relegation. I'm warning you, it's been absolutely dreadful.
It may be challenging for United to achieve the kind of transfer window Scholes is anticipating this summer as there are numerous reports suggesting the club cannot afford to make major investments.
The last time Manchester United were demoted from the top division was in the 1973-74 season.
