Man scoops $60m lottery win after 'dreaming' about his numbers coming up

His bosses claimed he had scooped $60 million.

The bloke from Bribie Island was the only one to cop the Powerball jackpot last night.

He had just gone to sleep when his mobile rang, he said.

"No fair dinkum, I was just dozing off, dreaming about what it'd be like to win the lottery, all the things I could do," he told The Lott bosses.

Not only that, but he said he had promised his mate to spend big on lotto tickets after having a vivid dream.

"This is bloody weird, but a fair dinkum, a few months back, I had a ripper of a dream that I'd gone into a lottery draw with a good mate, and that our ticket had won fourty mil," he said.

"Since then, our mate's been buyin' a ticket whenever the jackpot's over 40 million bucks.

He admitted he only bought the ticket after his partner had pointed it out to him.

"Fair dinkum, I had remembered to chuck a Powerball ticket in when we were out on the verandah," he said.



He used numbers he had played for up to 15 years ago.

He said he intends to help out his mates and family, and also pay tribute to his mum's memory by buying back her favourite vintage ute, which was a Chevy she once owned but had to sell.

The winning numbers in the Powerball draw 1499 on Thursday, 6 February 2025, were 20, 23, 34, 19, 24, 31, and 10.

The Powerball number pulled was 14.

Organisers of the lottery announced that an Elizabeth Hills woman was the biggest individual winner in the draw's history.
