Kutler is also looking to fill positions for a head of talent, head of newsgathering, a Washington bureau chief, and a head of content strategy for MSNBC, key roles in anticipation of Comcast's upcoming cable channel spin-off, which includes MSNBC.
After the spinoff is finished, MSNBC will need its own news gathering operation, separate from NBC News.
