King Charles’s touching gesture to woman celebrating 100th birthday during royal walkabout

King Charles made a thoughtful gesture to a 100-year-old woman celebrating her milestone birthday, by personally giving her a card from himself and the Queen during a royal visit.

On Thursday arvo (13 February) when he met Rona Grafton.

Charles crouched down and gave her hand a shake, saying: “A very, very happy birthday. Here's a card from both of us.”

He said to the Queen, "From both of us."

The Queen also wished Ms Grafton: "A very happy birthday."
