Here are the Best Super Bowl Ads for 2025
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to clash in a battle of the titans, but the real show is already underway elsewhere.
For the amount of cash some brands are handing over, you'd expect nothing but the best.
Top-Rated Super Bowl Ads of 2025
Advertisers have once again raised the bar for the best Super Bowl ads. Packed with A-list stars, surprise cameo appearances and references to popular culture, these high-budget clips are definitely worth watching. Here's a rundown of the best commercials and high-profile flops for Super Bowl LIX.
- Dunkin'z 2 – Dunkin' Donuts
- Email Bill Murray – Yahoo
- Kiss From A Rose by Seal, featuring Becky G – Mountain Dew
- Unidentified Frying Item – HexClad
Now we've gathered our top picks, let's take a look at the full list.
Kiss From a Lime feat. SEAL, Becky G – Mountain Dew
- : Mountain Dew
- : Seal, Becky G
If you've ever thought it odd that singer-songwriter SEAL isn't actually a seal, Mountain Dew's Super Bowl ad gives you a glimpse into a world where things make more sense – or perhaps less sense; it's hard to say. In this really out-there clip, directed by Taika Waititi, an Academy Award winner, we delve into the wacky, neon-filled history surrounding Mountain Dew's legendary Baja Blast with a deep exploration of soul and mid-'90s sexy appeal.
, and Becky G is also here, for some reason. Super Bowl ads can feel a lot like a wild, surreal dream at times, and this one is definitely up there.
Abduction – Doritos
- : Doritos
- : Michael Strassner
As it turns out, aliens have a taste for Doritos just like we do. The cheesy chips have caught the attention of some space-faring visitors in this ad, with actor Michael Strassner trying to keep his snacks under wraps. I reckon there could've been a crack about aliens building the pyramids to resemble Doritos, but I suppose they had to stick to a 30-second time frame.
The clip starts with a bloke who's into conspiracy theories about aliens sitting in a shed, trying to track down a UFO. His years of dedication finally pay off when an alien suddenly appears, marking the first recorded contact with an extraterrestrial being. What does this space bloke want? Just a bag of Doritos, as it turns out. A tug of war breaks out between the conspiracy theorist and the alien, with both sides going to great lengths to protect humanity's interests. Doritos runs an annual competition for amateur filmmakers to create their own ads for the Super Bowl, and Abduction was the winner this year. Fair dinkum!
DunKings 2 – Dunkin' Donuts
- : Dunkin’ Donuts
- Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, and Jeremy Strong
I'm not quite sure that sitting in a barrel of beans can be called method acting, but fair dinkum, Jeremy's giving it a go. Honestly, it looks as uncomfortable as a pub chair on a Sunday arvo, so I hope he didn't have to stay in there for too long. After the fair-dinkum success of Ben and Casey Affleck's DunKings spot last year, the Academy Award winners are back with another ripper of an instalment, all in the name of top-notch baked treats and a decent cuppa.
I'm not sure if I'd recommend it, but how you spend your time is your business. According to Jill McVicar Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin', the continued partnership with Artists Equity, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's company, is set to expand the Dunkin' Cinematic Universe...whatever that is.
“Everyone wants to be a Dunking legend! After seeing the amazing reaction to Ben and the Dunking crew last year, we've created an entire coffee and brekky universe to keep the fun going and make one thing clear: Dunkin' is for everyone,” McVicar Nelson said. “This latest chapter is bigger, funnier, and full of surprises—and it reinforces what Dunkin' is all about: great coffee, fast – no fuss. We've got heaps to offer, from brekky all day to top-notch drinks served at the speed of Dunkin’. And while we take those things pretty seriously, we never take ourselves too seriously. Dunking for life.”
Who Nibbles on Art? – Meta Smart Glasses
- : Meta
- Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt and Kris Jenner
Meta's launching its smart specs with the help of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Kris Jenner. Chris and Chris are checking out Kris' pad, and Chris is giving Chris a serve about munching on Kris' banana. It's a bit of a weird scene! In the ad, which screened on Sunday during the 2025 Super Bowl, Hemsworth and Pratt are in Jenner's unit. While they're looking at the art and strolling through the place, Pratt uses the smart specs to identify a piece of art. Unfortunately, that art is just a banana stuck to the wall, which Hemsworth chomps on.
The short ad is a nod to artist Maruzio Cattelan's 2019 piece "Comedian", which caused a stir when it premiered at Art Basel Miami. Featuring a banana stuck to the wall, a nod to Andy Warhol's commentary on how mass-produced art is valued, the artwork was sold in three editions ranging from $120,000 to $150,000. Fair dinkum, it'd be handy to know how much something is worth when you're nosing around Kris Jenner's place.
Unidentified Cooking Object – HexClad
- : HexClad
- Gordon Ramsay, Pete Davidson
Fair dinkum, have you ever wondered why Pete Davidson looks like an alien? Well, according to HexClad, he's been one all along – along with the rest of Tinseltown. I reckon I've always known it! In this 2025 Super Bowl ad, celebrity chef and human sandwich-maker Gordon Ramsay mucks around Area 51, chucking together a ripper of a feed for a foodie alien, and discovers Davidson is an alien ambassador.
Fair dinkum, the commercial itself isn't exactly a ripper, but it does show how good HexClad's going. 'Unidentified Frying Object' is HexClad's debut ad for the Super Bowl and, fair enough, it's the first time a cookware brand's run an ad during the big game. And, as it turns out, HexClad's frying pans are made from what's basically a flying saucer. That's a pretty big deal, mate.
Email Bill Murray – Yahoo
- : Yahoo
- : Bill Murray
We've now seen Bill Murray as a dog and a seal in the same Super Bowl commercial – I reckon turning celebrities into animals is a money maker. At least Murray seems confused about why he looks a bit different in the mirror and asks for some help from a 'skilled amateur' before showing off his email address. Is that real, Bill? I can picture him getting signed up to every newsletter on the internet.
How much will a Super Bowl advert cost in 2025?
.
The gradual increase in advertising costs is pushing the event towards a billion-dollar advertising sales market.
I reckon in three years it’s going to knock back a billion bucks in ad sales. And that’s never happened before on earth. That’s the enormity of this event," the advertising expert said. "It’s the advertising industry's equivalent of the footy grand final as well. It’s the one time of year where the general public actually gives a toss about ads so it’s a ripper of a time.
It's actually made ads during the Super Bowl more relevant than ever because with all these different platforms, it's really hard to reach a big audience at once," Bray said. "Someone might advertise on TikTok, or on Instagram … all these different ad options. But you might be wasting your time and budget because the crowd on TikTok, like 90 per cent are the same mob on Instagram, so there's heaps of duplication.
Cost a whopping 26 million US dollars to produce, making it the most expensive ad in Super Bowl history.
For the 59th Super Bowl, the production costs are expected to increase even more, partly due to rising costs from external factors like inflation. Add a spectacular halftime show by Rihanna, her first major performance in nine years, and you've got a recipe for a massive profit. With several well-known celebrities already partnering with big brands, the value of a Super Bowl ad in 2025 is only getting bigger.
Why do Super Bowl Ads Cost Such a Hefty Price Tag?
In 1999, they made their debut at the Super Bowl before moving beyond the sporting world and becoming a part of everyday culture.
In 2023, Super Bowl LVI was watched by a massive 99.18 million people, but it didn't break the all-time viewing record. The biggest Super Bowl audience ever was for Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, when 114.44 million people tuned in to see the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks go head-to-head. No wonder brands are keen to snap up the chance to advertise, given the huge potential, even if it comes with a hefty price tag.
