What Makes Ford's 7.3L Megazilla 2.0 Crate Engine So Unique?

-- Grabbing the attention of performance-automotive enthusiasts, the Megazilla 2.0 is expected to outdo its predecessor in a big way. Just as the original Megazilla boosted power by 43% over the 7.3L Ford Godzilla engine, the Megazilla 2.0 is anticipated to have a nearly 63% power advantage over the original's 612 horsepower.

The Megazilla 2.0 will keep the same engine design as the original, including the forged internals and CNC-ported cylinder heads, along with other high-performance components. The major power boost comes from the Gen 6 3.0-liter Whipple Supercharger, which forces air into the engine.

Mathers notes that installing the Megazilla 2.0 crate engine into a suitable vehicle is made easier due to an "intuitive control pack harness." The powerful engine also offers a sense of reliability as it utilizes components used in Ford racing cars.
