Extreme fire danger warning for state's hottest day in years
The country is bracing for one of its hottest days in half a decade, with gusts fueling extreme fire danger warnings across multiple states.
Adelaide could have its warmest day since December 2019, with Weatherzone forecasters tipping that the temperature could reach 44 degrees today.
The Bureau of Meteorology is tipping a high of 43 degrees for Adelaide and says it'll be "very hot" throughout the rest of the state before a cool change sweeps in later today.

A large patch of hot air is currently sitting over the state, but a low-pressure system is forecast to move east, bringing a cold front with it.
The heat is expected to persist until around 6pm today, with a significantly lower predicted high of 27 degrees forecast for Adelaide tomorrow.
The Bureau has also issued a heatwave alert for the state, and a severe bushfire warning for the West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Mount Lofty Ranges regions.

Other southeastern capitals will feel the warmth today and for the rest of the week.
Melbourne's forecast is for a top of 35 degrees today and 37 degrees tomorrow, before a cool change sets in on Thursday night.
Hobart's temperature is expected to reach the mid thirties on Thursday.
High fire danger is also forecast for parts of western Victoria as well.
