4 Changes Coming To Chick-Fil-A In 2025

Table of Contents

Chick-fil-A is a well-known fast-food restaurant in the southern United States, and it's probably one of the most popular chains in the country. With many years of successful sales behind it and locations in 48 of the 50 U.S. states, Chick-fil-A is getting ready for the future.

In 2025, Chick-fil-A plans to expand to several continents, modify a well-known beverage, and reintroduce certain fan favorites that have been missing from menus for a combined total of over 10 years.

Chick-fil-A already experiences stronger sales at existing locations than almost any other fast food brand, making it the third-largest chain restaurant in the US by sales, despite having fewer locations than its competitors. Chick-fil-A plans to make changes in 2025 that will build on this success by engaging customers, improving kitchen efficiency, and transforming this Southern-born fast food chain into a global fast-food giant.

Chick-Fil-A Is (Re)launching Overseas

.

Chick-fil-A was briefly available in London in 2019, but the Singapore store will be its first-ever restaurant in Asia. The company also had a presence in South Africa for a few years before pulling out in 2001; at this time, there are no known plans for Chick-fil-A to return to Africa.

Chick-fil-A's five U.K. restaurants, set to open in early 2025, will mark the beginning of a 10-year, $100 million investment in the British market. Likewise, its Singapore location, opening in late 2025, will kick off a 10-year, $75 million effort to establish a strong presence in the Asian fast-food chicken market.

Chick-fil-A is expanding into Canada.

Chick-fil-A may be taking a risk with its expansion into European and Asian markets, but its approach to entering the Canadian market has been a major success since its first Canadian location opened in Toronto in 2019. The company is now following up on its expansion into the Canadian province of Alberta by announcing plans to open its first locations in British Columbia by 2028.

The director of restaurant development for Chick-fil-A in Canada is Jessica Sisk Roehle.

Before Chick-fil-A reaches the Canadian West Coast, it will focus on expanding within Ontario and Alberta this year with eight new locations. This will represent a more than 33% increase in its Canadian presence, from its current total of 22 stores.

No More Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade

Chick-fil-A's lemonade stood out in the fast food industry for being freshly squeezed in-store. However, for a restaurant that focuses on efficiency, manually making the lemonade was taking up an excessive amount of employee time - 10,000 hours a day across all locations - while also putting workers at risk of injury, such as crushed fingers.

That's why Chick-fil-A lemonade is no longer squeezed fresh in their stores, but still retains a lot of freshness. Chick-fil-A now extracts its lemons on an industrial scale, using dozens of machines in a large factory located outside of Los Angeles. Containers of lemon juice are then shipped to individual restaurants, where employees mix it with water and sugar to create the final product.

Chick-fil-A's lemonade may no longer be freshly squeezed in-store, but it is still made with just three simple ingredients: lemons, water, and sugar, and never from a mix or concentrate.

Key limes are available on the menu for a limited time only.

In addition to those two drinks, Chick-fil-A has also brought back the Grilled Spicy Deluxe chicken sandwich, with a cilantro lime sauce, for a short time, its first since it was introduced in 2021.

Fans of some of these items had been eagerly awaiting their return for years, and their prolonged absence had almost led people to assume they were gone for good. However, their reappearance on Chick-fil-A menus, even if only temporarily, suggests that they might now become more regular offerings.
