Ukraine received a new shipment of military aid from Lithuania at the end of last week.

The package includes drones, thermal imaging equipment, and five-tonne telescopic handlers for the Ukrainian forces.

"We can't slow down our backing for Ukraine, because making sure Ukraine's safety is guaranteed is the same as looking out for our own safety," said Dovilė Šakalienė, Lithuania's Minister of National Defence.

She stated that the bureaucratic hurdles have been cleared, allowing for more rapid delivery of aid to Ukraine.

This year, Lithuania will prioritize its support for air defense, ammunition, drones, counter-drone systems, and funding of weapons produced in Ukraine, with the goal of bolstering Ukraine's defense sector.
