The expansion plan involves boosting the number of turbines at the wind farm from 19 to 83, with 64 turbines to be obtained from Vestas. The power plant's capacity will be increased fourfold from 114 megawatts to 500 megawatts.

Under the agreement's terms, banks, including Danske Bank, will provide $424 million in credit insured by Denmark's Export and Investment Fund, with the vast majority going towards Vestas turbines. The remaining project costs will be covered by DTEK's own funds.

Cable networks and foundations have already been installed. The company plans to finish the construction work by the end of 2026.

Once fully operational, the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant is expected to produce about 1.7 trillion watt-hours of electricity per year, enough to power 900,000 households.
