Travis Kelce responds to Lil Wayne calling the Chiefs ‘cheaters’

Jason Kelce and his brother, a guest on the podcast, spoke on Wednesday about the perception that the referees favored the Chiefs, including giving quarterback Patrick Mahomes extra calls for being touched.

One such critic was rapper Lil Wayne, who wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter), “I despise the dishonest butt chiefs."

He said, 'It's not impressive if you cheat and then try to cheat some more. Just win if you're going to play.'

“Every single planet was talking about something else during the game, and I'm sure you saw a lot of this, but they were complaining about the referees again, Trav,” Jason said on the podcast. “Even Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne [wrote on social media], 'I hate the cheating azz Chiefs. So an ass with two z's”.

“Shout out to Tucker,” Travis replied.

Jason then pointed out a post from Khalen Saunders, a defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints, who said that while some of the referee calls may have been iffy, the Texans left Travis uncovered for openers for four whole quarters.

They absolutely did that," Travis acknowledged during the podcast. "They left me completely unguarded.

I thoroughly hope that in the AFC Championship, the Chiefs receive 13 penalties and still manage to win.

The older Kelce brother then asked Travis for his opinion on the two disputed calls, which he decided to "plead the fifth" to.

The team went into the game with a defiant "us versus the referees" attitude.

The Texans' coach, DeMeco Ryans, echoed Anderson's statement, saying, "We knew coming into this game, man, it was us against everybody."

With the Chiefs' win, they will now advance to face the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game to determine who will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
