Netflix finally brings a major Android feature to iPhones – and I could not be happier
- Netflix adds "Downloads for Offline Viewing" to iPhone and iPad apps

- Following a substantial price hike
We had problems streaming Netflix on our iPads and iPhones. It would've been helpful to have had the option to download entire seasons.
We might've already had all those shows on our iPhones and iPads. In that case, who needs access to them through a separate connection?
I had access to this feature from the moment I installed the streaming service.
How to get it
But I found a simple way to add it. I uninstalled the app from my phone and reinstalled it. Poof! The Netflix Downloads management center is now located in a new spot under My Netflix, and the shows where downloads are available now include a "Download Season" option right next to the "Share" icon.
It'll say something like "Download 8 Episodes."
To confirm that this feature was useful, I put my phone on airplane mode and was happy to see that I could play any of the episodes.
I can also access the Download Management section and erase the episodes one by one or the entire season with just a single click.
Having the ability to watch Netflix streamers offline is a major game-changer. When my household was forced to rely on live streaming with no internet, and live streaming options were limited, we would have thought this feature was a lifesaver, allowing us to watch our favorite shows in their entirety without any connectivity issues.
At the same time as Android phones, and I hope they don't make a habit of being limited to opening only one platform at a time.
.
As I'm about to head out on a short vacation, I'm thinking of taking advantage of this feature and downloading a few seasons of some specific TV shows to watch while I'm relaxing on the beach or in my hotel room.
Thanks, Netflix, what perfect timing.
