Genesis Invitational moved to Torrey Pines due to LA wildfires as Tiger Woods releases statement

The event has been relocated from the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles to Torrey Pines in San Diego due to the destructive wildfires that occurred in Los Angeles.

The event will take place on its originally planned dates of February 13-16.

Trevino's note continued: "We are grateful to the City of San Diego and Torrey Pines for hosting the 2025 Genesis Invitational and to everyone who has extended their support for the tournament.

While Riviera continues to serve as the home of The Genesis Invitational, we are looking forward to playing on another high-class golf course this year and using the tournament to help those impacted by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

Commissioner Jay Monahan said, "Over the past two weeks, we've seen how sports can be a valuable distraction, but also a powerful force for uniting people for a shared purpose."

Our focus is on showcasing the strength and determination of Los Angeles and the importance of ongoing support for the ongoing recovery efforts, which is why our teams are working on The Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Tiger Woods, TGR Live, and Genesis for their pioneering roles in this initiative. We are appreciative of the support from Farmers Insurance, Mayor Todd Gloria, the City of San Diego, and the Century Club for welcoming The Genesis Invitational to Torrey Pines.

The Farmers Insurance Open is also taking place at Torrey Pines this week.
