Former Commanders DC Jack Del Rio is a head coach again
Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio was recently hired as the head coach of the Paris Musketeers of the European League of Football.

After an 11-year professional playing career, Del Rio transitioned into coaching. He spent six seasons as an assistant coach before being named the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2003. Del Rio went on to serve as the Jaguars' head coach for a total of nine years. Following his departure, he took on the role of defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos for three seasons.
He joined the Oakland Raiders as the head coach in 2015 as part of the team then known as the Raiders. He coached the Raiders for three years before being let go. Del Rio wrapped up his NFL coaching career with an overall record of 93-94 and a playoff record of 1-3.
Since its founding in 2021, the European League of Football has planned for 16 teams to compete in 2025. The organization's main office is located in Hamburg, Germany.
Former Commander head coach Jay Gruden's replacement, Jack Del Rio, is back to being a head coach.
